Request Technical ProposalFirzOut HP CO2 is a fixed marine fire extinguishing system storing liquid carbon dioxide at high pressure (approx. 58 bar at 21°C). It is installed to protect total-flooding hazards in machinery spaces of Category A (engine rooms), pump rooms, auxiliary boiler spaces, and cargo holds.
FirzOut systems are fully certified and approved in compliance with IMO SOLAS Chapter II-2, FSS Code Chapter 5, and approved by the Mercantile Marine Department (MMD / DG Shipping), IRS, ABS, LRS, BV, and other major IACS societies.
In accordance with SOLAS regulations, our systems incorporate dual-control release cabinets, pre-discharge audio-visual pneumatic alarms, and pneumatic time delay units (typically 20-30 seconds) allowing personnel to safely evacuate before CO2 floods the compartment.
High-pressure seamless steel cylinders, quick-release cylinder valves with bursting discs, master pilot cylinder actuation bottles, manifold non-return check valves, pneumatic time-delay units, distribution direction valves, specialized discharge nozzles, and release control boxes.
Calculations are performed in strict adherence to SOLAS and FSS Code formulas based on gross volume of the protected compartment, free air volume, air receiver capacities, and casing dimensions to achieve a minimum 35% or 40% design concentration within 2 minutes.
